We are pleased to welcome Dr. Erin Requarth into the Mt. Auburn Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates staff! She will be joining us on August 3rd, but until then here’s some background from our newest physician in our latest Q&A:

What is your background?

I am originally from in Dayton, OH, and then I attended Ohio State University for both undergrad and medical school. I quickly realized interest and passion for medicine and specifically women’s health.

What are the three fun facts about you?

Absolutely loved my time at Ohio State and now am an avid Buckeyes fan. I chose Cincinnati for my residency and received invaluable training during my 4 years in the program. Meeting my fiancé, proximity to family and being a great place to practice medicine are reasons I decided to make Cincinnati my new home.

My fiancé and I recently bought our first home where we live with our dog, Opie. We love living close to the city and enjoy Cincinnati’s eclectic food scene and sense of community.

We enjoy staying active and traveling. One of our favorite places to travel is to Colorado, where we enjoy skiing.

Why did you choose to be an ob-gyn doctor?

Being an OB-GYN is really a dream job because I am able to advocate for and empower women!

I love forming connections with my patients and establishing continuity over time by taking care of them throughout many stages in life.

What are you most looking forward to working at Mt. Auburn?

A few aspects of the job I am interested in are reproductive years, contraception, infertility. I was lucky enough to work with all of the physicians at Mt. Auburn during residency and feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with them as I start my career. I really look forward to getting to know the patients.
