Beth Senft has been a registered nurse at Mt. Auburn OBGYN in Cincinnati for about four years. Her time at our practice is only a snippet of her 37 year career, but she has been an attentive, compassionate care taker. If you’ve made an appointment at our Mason office, you’ll remember Beth by her calm demeanor and amazing listening skills.

Beth Before Mt. Auburn

Though she was born in Canton, Beth has called Cincinnati home since she was two years old. A family tradition of hers was going to dinner at the Montgomery Inn Boathouse, and her kids are big supporters of the Reds. Beth grew up on the East side but moved once she tied the knot with a man from the West side. She was educated in the Queen City too, earning degrees from the Bethesda Hospital School of Nursing and University of Cincinnati.

Over the course of her accomplished career, Beth has worked in labor and delivery, obstetrics and gynecology. She was previously at Christ Hospital, with whom we just opened a new birthing center in Liberty Township, and she worked on a travel basis twice in California. Beth is a Cincinnatian through and through, but she appreciated being so close to the ocean while in San Luis Obispo and exploring the natural wonder of Yosemite while in Merced.

Staying Balanced

Meditation in her spare time helps Beth enjoy the present and listen to patients’ concerns without jumping to any conclusions about the kind of care they need. She participates in a four day silent retreat each year with a spiritual direction group to improve her mindfulness, and a sign she has at home reminds her to “enjoy this moment, because this moment is your life.”

Time with family is also important to Beth’s life outside of work. Her three children all live in Cincinnati, so she gets to spend a lot of time with them. They all share time together in a camper near Felicity, OH on weekends as well, taking boat rides and building campfires. When she isn’t enjoying family time or keeping a clear mind, Beth volunteers with Women Off the Streets to support local women who have fallen into drugs and prostitution.

We enjoy having Beth on staff, and our patients do too. Her commitment to our patients in the office and the community outside of it are much appreciated. Each member of our staff is a crucial piece of what makes Mt. Auburn a top of the line practice. Experience our compassionate care for yourself by making an appointment today.
